The flower girl is the ambassador of brides. While petite in size, she has a significant role in the wedding, walking down the aisle, dropping petals, preparing the way for the entrance of the bride. Flower girl dresses are often specially-made for the girls who precede the bride down the aisle. Traditional flower girls are carrying flowers which would signify good luck to the newly weds.
